Installing Computer Operating system?

I was installing windows me on an old pc for my daughters to play on. I was half way through installation wen the power cable was pulled out accidentally, not lost everything, tried to boot from disc but just goes to MS-dos which I am not familiar with. Can anyone help to install OS much appreciated.
